I surf a lot. Well at least I use to. These days with the responsibilities, trials and tribulations of “adulthood” (like you can really ever consider me an adult) I find that I am afforded less surf time then I would like. That being said I still surf pretty much every single day as is evident from this log. Many years ago I kept a log of everyday I surfed, how the conditions were, notables from the session, etc. I gave up on this in around 2003 from pure laziness, but the log book with all my other mementos were kicking around under my parents beach house till it got flooded during Hurricane Irene. So much for that supposed “water tight crawl space”. Thanks Dad, that goes right up there with the video cassette tapes that got lost in the mail. Yes I still have fond nostalgia for watching VHS tapes.
Basically the Surf Log section of this site is a day to day log on my surfing escapades or lack there of. Since this is a surfing blog I figured I ought have at the very least one surfing entity. Now for the days I dont surf I will still add an entry to the log that will most likely be a lame ass excuse why I missed, or me bitching about wave quality or an injury or a combination of all three. On the no surf days I will still give a wave height, which will be rendered from the C street, Ventura, CA afternoon report on Surfline.com for that day.

These are some of the waves I frequently enjoy. Left to Right starting from the top row down: Campus Pt., Devereux Pt., CStreet, Ventura Harbor, Rincon, Naples, Little Rincon, Jalama, Pitas, Loons, Emma Wood, Sand Spit.

you suck at life, get a real job besides at a gas station.
i surfed 44 waves this session, gotta tell the world, my life is bro
Wow dude you have to chill. I take those stats for me, been doing it since I was a kid. I think it is interesting to see how many waves you can catch in a session at varied locations and conditions. I write this stuff for me. Its my personal journal that i happen to make public. Yes you are right I do suck at life my friend. I mean this blog is proof of that. By your crafty comment I can see you must be doing sooo much better for yourself. I dont work at a gas station any more. I am a chef over at Westmont College. I do not really know if you can consider that a real job or not, but I do work 40 hours a week, get benefits, paid vacation and have a 401k. You should hit me up and we can surf sometime. I have a lot of fun out there and maybe I can put a smile on your face too.

Reading the jan 3rd report made me feel a little better haha. I checked it and was disappointed and bailed. I’m glad I didn’t miss out by playing vball instead. Surfline x long period swell = overhyped crowd disaster for in town. I swear people don’t even look before paddling
I don’t think they did and when the wind came up and it was absolutely terrible people kept showing up and paddling. If it had looked like that when I checked it I would have definitely left
